KCR's "Bumper Offer" To The Government
The TRS president KCR has given a "bumper offer" to the UPA government at the centre. He said that he would "offer" some more time for the government to chalk out the strategies to tackle the agitators in the Andhra or the Rayalaseema regions.
He also revealed that he would not conduct the bus rally today, but instead conduct a "Victory Rally" from 24th of this month. The TRS polit bureau , at an emergency meeting, decided against the proposed yatra by Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao owing to his ‘fragile health’ and because his immune systems were still weak.
Sources in the party, however, said the yatra’s postponement came after indications from the Centre not to precipitate the crisis in the other two regions which were witnessing widespread agitations cutting across political lines. “We shall give some time to the Central government to resolve the issues to ensure that agitations are called off,” Mr. Rao said.
Meanwhile the agitators in the Andhra and the Rayalaseema regions wondered who KCR is to give the "bumper offer" time to the centre. Some have even gone to the extent of saying that the KCR is planning the victory rally so that he can put more pressure on the UPA government to not to go back on its word.
