Want to put dvd or other video onto iPod? You will need to use some iPod video converter to help you. I personally used this DVD to iPod and video to iPod converter suite

It's a One-click, All-in-One solution which helps you create iPod movies from DVDs, TV shows and home videos:

    - it supports conversion of any DVD-video standard compliant disc into iPod MPEG-4 format, as well as into the H.264 high quality video format.
    - it can convert almost all other video formats into iPod Video format. Always does a good job in conversion of TIVO files, MPEG-encoded videos, Windows Media videos (WMV files), RealMedia RM files, QuickTime MOV videos (not QT, though) and, of course, AVI files (in any of these formats: standard video for windows, DivX encoding and also XviD files) into iPod Video format.

    Free Download it to try.

    Enjoy!

The reason why you can't transfer iPod library to iTunes or PC, or can't transfer iTunes libary to another iTunes, is that Apple using DRM protection to prevent their store content being distributed on commercial purpose, which restricts concumer with limited user rights as side effects.

Then the most effective way is to remove DRM, back up all your iTunes content , then you get your full user rights of transfering to other iTunes or playing on other device

I use this poerful DRM removal software which can:

Remove DRM, Convert protected M4V, M4P, WMA, WMV from iTunes, Windows Media, Zune MarketPlace, Napster, Rhapsody, Nokia Music Store, Spiralfrog, Bearshek, eMusic, Puretracks, MusicGiants, CinemaNow Movielink, Amazon Unbox etc

Convert M4P, M4B, M4V, WMV, ASF, WMA, MP4, M4A, AVI (Divx/Xvid), MOV, 3GP, 3G2, DVD VOB, h.264, HD(.m2ts; .tp; .trp; .ts), HD(.mp4; .wmv; .asf; .mpg; .vob; .mov; avi), DV, NSV, NUT, RM, RMVB, FLV, FLAC, AIFF, SWF, MPG, MP3, AC3, OGG, APE, AAC, WAV, MKV, MKA, etc

Support iPod, iPhone, PSP, Zune, Xbox, creative Zen, Archos, Iriver, Sansa, Blackberry, Samsung, Sonywalkman, Nokia, HTC etc
