KCR and TRS, the mantra of separate Telangana is essentially that of political survival

Sunny Mar 7, 2009

I would like to know what KCR had done to Telagana other than shouting for separate Telanaga and repeated elections. Crores of public money has been spent in the form of election expenditure. I would suggest KCR, that money can be worthy for spending for Telagana.

KCR neither brought any industry nor any specific budget allocation for the benefit of Telangana.
He had done nothing in the form of development. He belongs to north andhra, he was not a Teleanga person at all.

He started TRS after split with TDP in being rejected for ministership in TDP.

Lets say if he has done significant development to Telangana?? why he lost his identity in recent elections?

If he had not joined hands with congress in 2004 elections, he would have not be gained any significance on his own (2008 bi-elections proved it).

For KCR and TRS, the mantra of separate Telangana is essentially that of political survival.

The commencement of Telangana Rashtra Samithi was more of a self-employment scheme for the maverick politician (KCR).

The question is, what did KCR do to Telangana while he was in power and being a minister?

The other valid question is, what moral right KCR has to whip up regional sentiments and inciting one region of the Telugu speaking people against the other?

In spite of the seat sharing arrangement and with the anti-incumbency against TDP in full force, the TRS managed to win only 26 of the 61 seats they contested, which is not a testament of an overflowing Telangana sentiment all over the region.

Even in the subsequent Municipal and Panchayat elections, the TRS had not fared well, which again proves that there is no all pervading T-sentiment.

Out of 107 seats TRS contested in 61 and won only 26 in 2004 elections, Does it signifies his victory?? no way.. not even 1/4 of the people accepting him and prevailing to no T-sentiment.

To reassert his commitment to Telangana, he went on resigning and recontesting purportedly to show the strength of the T-sentiment.

Out of the 26 TRS MLAs, 10 have long back separated from the party protesting against the autocratic traits of KCR. With the present by-polls the TRS is down to 7 seats from 16 and less than the rebel TRS group of 10.

Is KCR, a kid that he was cheated by Congress?? isn't funny to say

Apart form separate Telangana slogans, whts his commitment to Telangana??

What right he has for Telangana? He origin was from Bobbili, Vizianagaram District of North Andhra.

Former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya said since 1997 when the State unit adopted a resolution, the BJP had supported Telangana but could not pursue it when the National Democratic Alliance was in power as it was not on the national agenda of governance.

So don't dream about BJP favoring separate Telangana.

The by-election results prove, to some extent, the existence of Telangana sentiment in some pockets of the region, but very clearly prove that Separate Telangana Sentiment does not exist.

The first separate Telangana agitation(Jai Telangana Movement) in the early seventies(1969) took shape because of the personal animosity between Kasu Brahmananda Reddy and Marri Chenna Reddy, where the later suspected the former played a proxy war to send him to political exile for six years.

The primary goal of Chenna Reddy in dethroning Brahmananda Reddy from the CM’s chair had been achieved, while the Telangana issue took the back seat.

Even the TRS took shape because of the personal rivalry between Nara Chandrababu Naidu and KCR. Like Chenna Reddy, KCR also succeeded in pulling down Naidu from power and the CM’s chair.

During 1950's Navab's rulling, they made direct contact with Pakistan for separate country Telangana as seperate conuntry rulled by pakistan..

That time Vallabai Pattel (Iron man of India) being the home minister of India and Nehru the PM. Pattel sent the military force and controlled the Rajak movement led by Navab's.

Then it was joined into Andhra and formed Andhra Pradesh with Gentelman's agreement.

If it was not merged with Andhra in 1956, there will be no Telangana now, it'll be ruled by Pakistan now as separate country.

Please know history first before speaking about anything.

The 2008 by-election results prove, to some extent, the existence of Telangana sentiment in some pockets of the region, but very clearly prove that Separate Telangana Sentiment does not exist.

As far as vote bank is concerned for political parties, even the sentiment in small pockets of region is important. So they're making statement in favour of that.

Let there not be bloodshed among brothers of the same tongue on the issue of separation, not because a majority of people want it, but because a minority of politicians want it.

if Telangana sentiment is there why KCR gained only 7 seats??

Be positive man and awake yourselves...

When India gained independence in 1947, the British, left the choice of independence or unification up to the local rulers of the princely states. The Muslim ruler of Hyderbad, the last Nizam, wished to remain independent. First he tried to declare Hyderabad as a part of Pakistan but the British government did not allow this. Later in the same year, he announced his intention to become independent.

On the basis of an agitation, on November 1, 1953, 11 districts in the Telugu-speaking portion of Madras State voted to become the new state of Andhra State with Kurnool as the capital. Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu became first Chief Minister of thus formed Telugu State. Thus, Andhra State was a state created in India on October 1, 1953 from the Telugu-speaking northern districts of Madras Presidency. It comprised Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema Regions.

In December 1953, Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru appointed the States Reorganisation Commission to prepare for the creation of states on linguistic lines. This was headed by Justice Fazal Ali and the commission itself was also known as the Fazal Ali Commission. The efforts of this commission was overseen by Govind Ballabh Pant, who served as Home Minister from December 1954. The commission created a report in 1955 recommending the reorganisation of India's states.

On November 1 1956 Andhra State was merged with the Telangana region of Hyderabad Stateto form a united Telugu-speaking state of Andhra Pradesh.

The States Reorganisation Commission was constituted by the Central Government of India under the States Reorganisation Act and consisted of Hon. Fazal Ali, K.M. Panikker, and H.N. Kunzru. The Report submitted by the Committee in 1955 known as SRC Report went in to the problems of Telangana and Andhra regions, and the arguments for and against the merger of two regions.

I've gonew through ur Zigzag disorderliness presentations of the historical events with no indepth acknowledgement abt.If u might have gone through the essence of the events u would not have tagged the KCR's deeds with the TELANGANA.
Have u gone through the reality of the HISTORY...
Abt developments in POST INDEPENDENT INDIA...
Abt formation of the TELANGANA STATE(Hyderabad) after the end of NIZAM'S Rule...
ABT the central theme of the formation of the ANDHRA STATE...
Have u gone through the comments of Sir.C.RAJAJI of MADRAS PRESIDENCY during the formation of ANDHRA STATE...
AGREEMENT RULES and Apprehensions and views of our Beloved PRIME MINISTER JAWAHARLAL NEHRU,DR.B.R.AMBEDKAR(abt the rationality of the formation of states on linguistic basis),Expression of the FIRST SRC headed by the FAZAL ALI,apprehension of the then CHIEF MINISTER OF TELANGANA SRI BURGULA RAMAKRISHNA RAO and last but not the least is the apprehension of the PEOPLE OF TELANGANA STATE.
Why did u not mention about the other things immediately aftermath of 1947 apart from the SHADY CONNIVANCE OF THE NIZAM,regarding the formation of the TELANGANA STATE headed by our Beloved BURGULA RAMAKRISHNA RAO who was elected democratically by the TELANGANA people(Included are the so called proPakistani Muslims).
UR only fear is about HYDERABAD at present not about the TYRANNY OF THE present COLONIAL RULERS Who are parasitical on TELANGANA PEOPLE.
Do u think that we are in such sorry state that we are going to be under the suppression of small MUSLIM community who are only confined densely in Hyderabad and sparsely distributed in other districts of Telangana region.
U simply wanted to magnify or project the present Muslim community instilling the COMMUNAL fear in the people of TELANGANA(Non Hyderabadis).IF that is the case should there be a point that MUSLIM COMMUNITY OF THE ANDHRA REGION doesn't be the ground for the shelter for the MUSLIM FUNDAMENTALISM AND THE PAKISTAN SPONSERED TERRORISM.Recent INTELLIGENCE REPORTS have showed that ANDHRA REGION is also a not exception of the MUSLIM TERRORISM with the shelter grounds.Recent intelligence reports have also shown about the LEFT EXTREMISM in ANDHRA region compared to TELANGANA.We all know that even U.S.A has faced the wrath of the MUSLIM TERRORISM.What is ur point of argument for against the TELANGANA STATE projecting and tagging the MUSLIM FUNDAMENTALISM with the the RECREATION of the merged TELANGANA STATE with so many fears and apprehensions of the people who are still under the tyranny of the ANDHRAITES, carrying the burden against the CONSTITUTION WILL of NATION U FOOL.

Hey Brother..... If you know the truths about the Telangana... then start speaking on Telangana... If you don't know, better not to speak.... Being a Telanaites you are telling that all the Nonsencse.... Do you know Nizams were ruled Telangana for more than 500 years... During their times economically, culturally and security wise was very strong. After that they came to know that their dinesty was going to be an end then they afraid and they thought that once India got freedom, they will be neglected. Do you know when Andhra state was formed. that time India was not economically strong and didn't have the money to provide the infrastructure for the state like (Assembly, High Court, Secrateriat etc... ) and all government works were doing under the Tents (when Kurnool was the Capital). Then the Central Government occupied more than 90 building of the Nizam's and started the Government.

Come to TRS or KCR. KCR is not the only person from Telangana. before him also Telangana Movement were there (during the year 1969 more than 400 students were died) and after him also Telangana movement will be there.... Why he got he got neglected from the TDP government and why he didn't get the berth in AP ministers, because he is from Telangana..... He got realised and started the movement (Unless untill Gandhiji was thrown from the train, he also didn't realise the importance of freedom).
I am here with furnishing the details for why we need the Telangana... Below are some facts that are few reasons for the demand. Sentiments can be foolish but not facts.

    1) There are 10 districts in Telangana, 9 in Andhra and 4 in Rayalaseema. Out of these 7 districts in Telangana, 3 in Andhra and 1 in Rayalaseema are considered severely backward districts which means 70% of districts in Telangana are backward while in Andhra it is 35% and in Rayalaseema it is 25%. Apart from these there are some areas in all parts of the state which are also backward.
    2) 45% of the state income comes from Telangana region. When it comes to utilization of funds, the share of Telangana is only 28%.
3). Normally canals are dug to supply water to the crops from rivers for cultivation. The amount of land cultivated through canals in just Guntur district is more than the land cultivated with canals in entire Telangana region.
4). Nagarjuna sagar dam is built in Nalgonda district which is in Telangana but majority of the water from the dam is used for Krishna and Guntur district. The original dam was supposed to be build much ahead of its present location but the location was changed so that it falls in the Telangana region. Due to the construction of the dam several hectares of Lime stone mines vanished as part of the dam back waters. Everyone know that lime stone is used for producing cement. Even the natural resources were not allowed to remain.
5). Fluorinated water problem is only in Nalgonda district which has not been resolved since decades.
6). Two major rivers Krishna and Tungabhadra enter the state of AP in the district of Mahaboobnagar(the biggest district in Telangana) but the district always remains the worst draught hit areas along with Anantapur because there is no project and process with which the water can be utilized. The plans for utilization has been pending for decades.
    7) RDS (Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme) is build in Mahaboobnagar to provide water to 85000 hectares of land in the district. The leaders of Rayalaseems blasted the gates of RDS and water is supplied to KC (Kurnool-Cudapah) canal while only remaining water, if any, is supplied to the lands in Mahaboobnagar.
    8) 3 TMC of water from Gandipet is sufficient to supply drinking water to our city. Every year 1700 TMC of water is wasted and is flown into Bay of Bengal from river Godavari. Starting from Nizambad to Bay of Bengal there is no project allowed to build on Godavari. If it is built leaders in Godavari districts fear that the fertile lands in the area may fall short of water. If the Godavari water is utilized properly, there will be no scarcity for food grains in our state.
    9) In Telangana regions, only few areas cultivate one crop a year and very rarely two crops a year while most of the land doesn%u2019t even cultivate single crop. In both the Godavari districts, Krishna and Guntur district, two crops a year is common and there are times where even 3 crops a year are cultivated. The only reason is WATER.
    10) Government issue G.O.%u2019s for implicating its decisions. G.O number 610 is the longest non implicated G.O in the history of AP. The G.O was issued in 1986 by late NTR who was then the CM of AP, which is not yet implicated. The G.O speaks about the share of Telangana employees in Government jobs in Telangana region.
    11) 33% of the population in Mahaboobnagar district have left the district for livelihood to different parts of the state due to draught and majority of them are working as daily labour. No other district has so many people who fled the home place due to lack of livelihood and working as daily labour.
    12) There are 25 plus government degree colleges in Krishna, Kadapa and Guntur district while there is not even a single government degree college in Ranga Reddy district.
13). Dairy development corporation of AP purchases milk from farmers across the state for distribution. For the same milk, in Andhra, the government pay Rs. 24 to the farmers and in Telangana they pay Rs. 22 per litre. Partiality is shown even in milk J n.
    14) In between 2005-2008 government sold lands worth Rs. 20000 crores in and around Hyderabad which was utilized to build projects in Rayalaseema and Andhra. . Not even a single project was completed in Telangana in the last 5 years while several projects were completed in Andhra and Rayalaseema.

Telangana is not at all backward.. andhra and rayelseems are most backward places. Your leaders using you in the name of backward in telangana.
