Some models of the JVC Digital Camcorder record videos to .TOD video format.
As a matter of fact, the TOD files that the JVC camera produces are really just MPEG-2 files. It's reported that simply renaming the extension from .MOD to.MPG, then you can convert MOD files to .MPG. But sometimes, there is no sound, or videos distort when you open the .MPG files.
JVC created the .TOD file format for video files, which used in some models of their video camcorders, like GZ-HD7, GZ-HD3, GZ-HD5，GZ-HD6，GZ-HD30, GZ-HD40.
