When a person experiences asthma, his air passageways constrict and the bronchi become inflamed or swollen. Difficulty breathing is also experienced. This condition underscores the need to consider home remedies for asthma.</p>
<p>The narrowing or blockade of the airways is triggered by, first, airway inflammation. This condition is characterized by reddening of the lungs; the airways then become swollen and narrow. A second possible cause could be bronchial constriction. It is a condition in which the muscles that surround the airways tighten or go into spasm.</p>
<p>Other factors that could trigger asthma are lack of exercise, genetic factors, dietary changes, occupational pressure, and environmental factors.</p>
<p>A possible home remedy for asthma is a steam bath. The patient should perspire to stimulate the skin and relieve congested lungs.<br />
Honey is also a proven reliever for asthma attacks. At the time when asthma attacks, a container with honey can be placed under a patient’s nose for him/her to inhale. This would allow the nasal passage to relax and thus lead to a clear and smooth breathing pattern.</p>
<p>The asthma victim can also be given a steaming cup of ginger tea with garlic. Garlic should be minced and mixed with the tea. Take this mixture two times a day, morning and evening, for this will help relieve difficulty in breathing brought by asthma attacks.<br />
When a patient’s stomach is empty, he/she can recourse to a teaspoonful of turmeric powder with a glass of milk. This should be taken three times a day. This is considered a proven way to relieve breathing problems.</p>
<p>When already experiencing difficulty breathing, mustard oil mixed with camphor can be placed under a victim’s nose for him/her to inhale. Steam from boiling water mixed with caraway seeds can be a substitute for this solution and can also be inhaled for instant relief.</p>
<p>A natural way to safeguard one’s lungs against asthma attacks is to consider breathing in fresh air for some time. This would allow the air passage to relax and thus prevent the contraction brought by asthma.</p>
<p>Another magic solution for curing asthma is mixing one gram of dried ginger powder with one gram of black pepper in one teaspoon of molasses honey.  This, as it is taken into the body system, can alleviate the burden of asthma attacks.<br />
In cases where the culprit for asthma attacks are mucous accumulated in the lungs, regular chewing of fennel can help.<br />
An effective inhalant that can clear air passage blockades is the oil of juniper. Just take this as a regular inhalant and it will clear your trachea for smooth breathing.</p>
<p>There are many other home remedies for asthma that an asthma sufferer can consider. Don’t hesitate to find and try natural remedies for asthma. It can save you the trouble of buying medicines that are far more expensive than the ones you can just prepare at home. But of course, be wary of fake claims or those non-effective remedies that are also widely available from various sources.</p>
<p>It would be best to seek expert advice from your doctor before trying any unproven home remedies for asthma.
