Itching, redness, swelling, local rise in temperature, appearance of bumps, cracks and dryness are the main symptoms of skin diseases produced by microorganisms and parasites, same, besides causing considerable damage, can be contagious.
The skin is the largest organ in the body and covering the entire body, it acts as a shield against light, heat, pollution and injuries involved in vital functions such as regulating body temperature, water storage and reception of stimuli outside through the touch sense, but is also key in preventing illnesses to prevent the entry of infectious agents.
However, sometimes a zone of this tissue, restricted or extensive, can become ill when under attack from various invaders, such as:
* Bacteria formed by a single tiny cell that can survive in very adverse conditions. They are one of the oldest life forms, it is thought that arose thousands of millions of years, and is of different shapes: rod (bacilli), spheres (cocci) or spiral (spirochetes).
* Fungi's speed to cause disease is slower, and only finds the conditions for their growth in damp, poorly ventilated, skin folds, toes, genital areas, hair and nails.
