Does not detect my iPhone

This program does not detect my iPhone and it is only a few months old. I've tried on Vista and XP computers and the OS detect it, but the program does not. This seems t be a wide-spread problem, and this company has absolutely no troubleshooting or support documentation on their website. Shady!!
