NASA: Ice deposits found on Moon's north pole

NASA: Ice deposits found on Moon's north pole Craters at the north pole of the Moon. NASA radar has detected thick deposits of ice near the moon's north pole, raising hopes that the vast source of water could one day be used to generate oxygen.

NASA used its synthetic aperture radar, Mini-SAR, to image the moon. It is a lightweight imaging radar weighing less than 10 kilograms.

The Mini-SAR has photographed many of the permanently shadowed regions that exist at both poles of the moon.

The radar that flew aboard India's Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft has identified over 40 small craters with water ice. The craters range in size from 2 to15 kilometers in diameter.

The Power Of Words Over Water

Can water be affected by our words? Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, believes so. And he has proof.

Dr. Emoto took water droplets, exposed them to various words, music, and environments, and froze them for three hours. He then examined the crystal formations under a dark field microscope. And he took photographs.
The results were totally mind-blowing.
Heres a photo of ordinary water without any prayer spoken over it. The molecular structure is in disarray.

The photo below is water after the prayer was said. Its simply breathtaking. (I now have a great respect for praying before meals! More on this later.)

Dr. Emoto also exposed water to Heavy Metal music. Heres how it looks like. Looks sad if you ask me.

5 pre-Enron financial scandals

Gordon Gekko had it right (5 pre-Enron financial scandals)

"Greed is good". That was Gordon Gekko's mantra. Apparently, he wasn't the only one to live by that code. The last several years have seen corporate greed and fraudulent activities at an amazing pace. It started with the Enron failure and moved on to Worldcom, Tyco, Adelphia, AIG, and then was capped off by the wonderful personalities of Bernie Madoff and Allen Stanford. While this recent trend is disturbing, it is hardly original. Scandals, frauds, and corruption like this have been going on for hundreds of years.

Greed may not be necessarily good, but it has certainly been popular. Here are five financial scandals that happened before the current wave of bad headlines was written.

One Married Man Commits Suicide every 9 minutes

New Delhi: Is the mounting burden of responsibilities driving men to the end of their tether? Numbers suggest so.

In India, one married man commits suicide every nine minutes. Of the total 1,25,017 cases of suicide in 2008, married men alone accounted for 57,639. While the number of women taking the extreme step did not lag far behind, men appeared more vulnerable to mounting social and economic pressures. In the case of women, the trigger was more emotional and personal.

The overall male-female ratio of suicide victims for the year 2008 was 64:36, according to the latest data of the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB). The general scene is much grimmer.

Suicides in 2008 registered a decadal growth of 19.4% compared to 1998, the figures say. They also reveal a year-on-year rise of 1.9% compared to the 2007 numbers —1,22,637.

HEART ATTACK ~ THE NEW ASPIRIN

Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve under the tongue. They work much faster than the tablets.

Why keep aspirin by your bedside?

About Heart Attacks

There are other symptoms of an heart attack besides the painon the left arm.
One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin,as well as nausea and lots of sweating, however these symptoms may also occur less frequently.

Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack. The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep, did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep.

If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.

Norway's Incredibly Luxurious Halden Prison

Norway's Incredibly Luxurious Halden Prison: $1 Million of Art and Flat-Screen TVs in Every Cell

A lesson for all the budding criminals out there: if you're going to commit a crime, do it in Norway, because the country is soon to open Halden Prison, possibly the world's most ridiculously posh prison.

When it opens on April 1, Halden Prison will hold 252 inmates, making it the second-largest prison in Norway. It's a gorgeous, ultra-modern structure right near the Swedish border, comprised of cells that are arranged in units of 10 to 12, much like a college dorm. Except these cells are actually better than most dorms, since every cell comes with a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV, as well as a view--the windows don't even have bars in them.

But what about facilities, you might ask? My college dorm had a foosball table, and a vending machine! This prison can't match that, right? Wrong. Halden has a gym, training room, chapel, library, family visiting unit, football (possibly soccer) field, a school, and, most unbelievably, a sound studio.

Showered in flower petals and wild colours, it's the Indian festival of Lathmar Holi

From the lavish scenes of Bollywood to the rich spectrum of their cuisine, no other country in the world celebrates colours like India.

So it's no surprise that spring is being greeted with a festival celebrating just that - colour.

The Lathmar Holi was being celebrated in villages across India today, as thousands of men and women showered themselves in brilliantly coloured powders and millions of flower petals.

Spring colours: Men daubed in coloured powder celebrate the Lathmar Holi, also known as the festival of colours, at Nandgaon village near the northern Indian city of Mathura yesterday

Celebration: A man in Nandgaon covered in paint. The festival is held all over India

Love: A woman with a bamboo stick, or lathi, pretends to beat a man, who is protecting himself with a shield. Legend has it that Radha beat Krishna out of anger that he was not living with her
