Sebum (oil) is a natural substance which lubricates and protects the skin. Related to oil production increased by changing the way the mature skin cells so that they are predisposed to clog the follicular orifices or pores. Clogged follicle grows hair, producing a success.</p>

<p>Deep within each follicle, sebaceous glands are working to produce sebum, the oil that keeps your skin moist and flexible. As your skin renews itself, the old cells die, mix with natural oils from your skin and break. Under normal circumstances, these cells have been giving, giving rise to new and fresh skin.</p>
<p>Acne is a skin disease that causes pimples. Pimples form when hair follicles in the skin obstruction. Most pimples form on the face, neck, back, chest and shoulders. Anyone can get acne, but is common in teenagers and young adults. It is not serious but can cause scarring.<br />
Nobody knows exactly what causes acne. Hormonal changes, such as adolescence and pregnancy, probably play a role.</p>
<p>There are many myths about what causes acne. Chocolate and greasy foods are often blamed, but there is little evidence that foods have much effect on acne in most people. Another common myth is that dirty skin causes acne, however, blackheads and pimples are not caused by dirt. Stress does not cause acne, but stress can worsen the situation.</p>
<p><strong>Home Remedies for Pimples</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Rub fresh garlic on and around pimples. Pimples will disappear without a mark with regular applications. Garlic kills bacteria that cause acne.</li>
<li>Apply some garlic juice on your face for an hour once a week. Do not store for long, as it may aggravate sensitive skin.</li>
<li>Mix 1 tablespoon groundnut oil with 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice to prevent formation of blackheads and acne.</li>
<li>Pods ground chicken leg and leaves and mix with fresh lemon juice and apply on pimples. This is also good for pimples and blackheads.</li>
<li>Apply juice of raw papaya (including the skin and seed) on swelling pimples or acne.</li>
<li>Use lemon juice mixed with a glass of boiled milk as a face wash for pimples, blackheads and cracked skin.</li>
<li>Mix the lemon juice and rose water in equal parts. Apply on affected area. Wash after 20-30 minutes with lukewarm water.</li>
<li>Apply ripe tomatoes pulp on acne or cucumber or pimples and keep up to 1 hour after washing.</li>
