is a popular tourist destination in India. It is situated near the famous shrine of Badrinath, amidst the snow capped mountain ranges of Garhwal Himalayas. Auli is located in the Chamoli district of Uttaranchal, at an altitude of 9000 feet above sea level. It is also a famous destination for pilgrims due to its vicinity to Joshimath, Nandaprayag and Rudraprayag.</p>
<p>Auli is also a world renowned ski resort, frequented by skiing enthusiasts from all over the world. Nature lovers visiting this place can witness the magnificent view of snow capped peaks like Nanda Devi, Kamet and Mana Parbat of the Himalayas. The Valley of Flowers,<br />
a National Park which is world famous for its diverse species of flowering plants, is yet another attraction situated near Auli.</p>
<p>There are many hotels in and around Auli that provide simple accommodation units to travelers. Most of these hotels are located near Joshimath<br />
and Badrinath. Auli Hotels include resorts, budget hotels, alpine cottages and log huts. There are a lot of small budget hotels in Auli which tourists can avail of at affordable rates. Many tourists avail accommodation at the luxury resorts as well. These hotels are located at picturesque places that provide beautiful views of the surrounding region.</p>
<p>The small budget hotels of Auli provide only basic amenities like 24 hour hot and cold running water, small bed rooms with heating arrangements and in-house restaurant. These budget hotels are devoid of modern amenities like internet connectivity, modern furnishings, laundry, Telephone and cable T.V.</p>
<p>There are also tourist guest houses in Auli such as GMVN Skiing Tourist Resort, which is maintained by Garhval Mandal Vikas Nigam. This skiing resort provides budget accommodation to its guests. There are about 12 deluxe rooms in this hotel with in-room amenities such as Refrigerator, Television and 24 hour Hot water supply. Other amenities such as Doctor on call, parking facility and room service are also provided. There is also an in-house restaurant at this hotel that serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The hotel also provides trekking expeditions and sightseeing packages to tourists.</p>
<p>Tourists visiting the hill station of Auli for snow sports like skiing often face difficulty to get good accommodation in hotels. November to March is the skiing season in Auli when annual competitions as well as training in snow sports are conducted.
