There are some of the causes that are gender specific, and how the baldness appears is also gender specific.</p>
<p>Some of the treatments are gender specific. It should be noted that some hair loss or balding may occur just by virtue of the aging process. So as you can see the list of potential suspect when trying to determine the exact cause of balding can be quite extensive. The good news is often once the cause has been determined and either eliminated or modified hair regrowth will start to occur shortly after.</p>
<p>Androgenetic Alopecia is a hereditary condition; if you have older relatives who are losing their hair, chances are that you will experience some degree of balding, as well. Every hair grows cyclically: growing (up to six years), resting, and then falling out. Ten percent of your hair is, under normal circumstances, in a resting phase, after which it will be shed.</p>
<p>Fifty to one hundred hairs daily is considered normal. Most frontal baldness is caused by a condition known as Male Patter Baldness (MPB). MPB is genetic and develops because of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone aka DHT.</p>
<p>Having over abundant DHT in the body causes thinning hair. Dihydrotestosterone is the culprit for hair growing thinly and weakly in males. It is the main cause of balding that happens to people. But, balding stems from many other factors like health issues or stress, even the medication you may be taking. Many women place a great deal of pressure on themselves to remain stay thin or at the very least remain at their optimum weight.</p>
<p>If this goal turns into an obsession resulting in either malnutrition or poor nutrition dramatic hair loss can occur. Anemia is another possible result of poor nutrition and also leads to balding. Male pattern baldness is a condition in which our hair follicles are deprived of certain nutrients, such as magnesium, zinc, copper, iron, vitamin b6, and biotin.</p>
<p>Hair loss in a woman can occur after childbirth, during menopause or if she is taking birth control pills. The fluctuation of the estrogens during and after pregnancy, during menopause and when she is on the pill can sometimes cause hairloss. <p>For example, did you just loose a loved one, get a divorce, or get into a major car accident that damaged you physically and emotionally? Some people suffer from hair-loss for this reason. Illnesses can also cause this condition, either by the illness itself, or by the medication or treatment needed to fix it. A serious or life threatening illness such as cancer and the treatment involved with recovery, can make you bald.</p>
<p>The most common type of shedding is pattern balding. Pattern balding can occur in men and women. It occurs when hair is lost for no apparent reason. Sometimes it will fall out and become extremely thin, while other times it will fall out in patches. Pattern balding may happen quickly or over a long period of time.</p>
