Candida is a type of yeast which is present in all of us. Candida grows in control or you can say it maintains the balance in our body when our immune system works properly. But when there is any type of irregularities in our body due to any factor like intake of unhealthy amount of carbohydrates or sugar then candida can grow out of control. Usually it is harmless and it exists naturally in every one.
People suffering from any chronic disease, cancer, diabetes, depression and AIDS suffer from candida overgrowth. Overgrowth of candida is also developed due to prolong use certain medicines. Diet for Candida
A well balanced and regulated diet helps inhibit the growth of Candida in the system. Remember yeast thrives on sugar and simple carbohydrates; limiting the intake of such foods helps inhibit fungal growth. Foods to avoid include chocolate, fermented foods, gluten (such as wheat and oats), foods containing yeast, foods rich in sugars, etc. Substitute these foods with fresh vegetables, herbs, foods rich in protein like chicken and eggs, non-gluten foods (such as rice and millet), and natural yogurt among others.

Don’t wear nylon pantyhose and prefer wearing loose fitting clothes and cotton underwear.
If you want to clean your genitals, then instead of using soap, it is much better to use a cleanser containing no soap. Alternatively, you can wash with aqueous cream. You can also soak in a salt bath.
To get rid of itching, use hydrocortisone cream and treat secondary dermatitis affecting the vulva.
Prior to each menstruation cycle as well as before undergoing any antibiotic therapy, apply antifungal cream in the affected areas. This precautionary method will make you to relapse.

You may use peppermint oil as infusion to cure an infection caused by candida.
You may also apply rosemary oil on the affected areas on account of its anti fungal properties.
Olive leaves have antimicrobial properties. As such, an extract of olive leaves may be applied on the parts of body affected by candida.
You may also apply Aloe Vera gel on the affected areas to relieve the symptoms of candidiasis.
You must eat raw garlic every day or use it in culinary preparations as garlic has an anti fungal action. You may also apply freshly extracted garlic juice on the afflicted areas to cure the infection of candida.
