Chandrababu faults Chidambaram for Telangana tangle
Hyderabad, Dec 14 (UNI) Opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today blamed the Centre for the unprecedented political crisis in the state, with legislators cutting across party lines getting divided on regional lines.
Addressing a press conference here after both the Houses of the State Legislature were adjourned sine die, Mr Naidu contended that Union Home Minister P Chidambaram's midnight announcement without evolving a consensus even within the Congress and holding elaborate consultations with all parties, was responsible for the present imbroglio.
''The Congress alone is responsible for the present crisis. It should immediately initiate steps to address the problem,'' he said. He said he would hold a meeting with the leaders of his party from all the regions to bring about an understanding among themselves.
Mr Naidu also lamented that the present situation would severely affect development in the state. He feared 'flight' of industries from the state, which had been developed through long years of toil.
It was the TDP which had ushered in all-round development and built massive infrastructure, winning appreciation even from world leaders, he claimed.
