The diarrhea is watery stools and increased frequency. Symptoms are usually associated vomiting, nausea, thirst, malaise and abdominal pain. Some people even suffer from fever. Rarely is a serious disease, except in young children and the elderly. Diarrhea can cause loss of body fluid and electrolyte imbalance. Diarrhea can be single or be part of a symptom of other diseases.

Diarrhea, constipation as it is not a disease in itself but a symptom of a disorder whose severity depends on the cause in which it occurred. Diarrhea is characterized by the frequent evacuation of watery stools, without forming, causing poor absorption of water and nutrients. You can go or not accompanied by pain, weakness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps (cramping), fever or loss of appetite.

The there are multiple causes that can cause diarrhea: Poor digestion feed poisoning, allergies or food intolerances, viral or bacterial infections, consumption of contaminated water. Caffeine, laxatives, magnesium and orbital can cause diarrhea in some people. The use of some drugs especially antibiotics can also help to produce it.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Cohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis), diseases of the pancreas and cancer are among the diseases that are closely associated with frequent diarrhea. Acute diarrhea with fever, blood and mucus in the stool can be a sign of infection or indicate the presence of parasites.

Causes of Diarrhea

• Inflammatory processes, such as colitis (inflammation of the lining of the colon). • Infections such as salmonellosis. • Toxic and food adulteration. • Excess food intake. • By alterations in some part of the digestive tract, eg stomach surgery. • For mental disorders, are called emotional diarrhea.

Treatment of diarrhea using fenugreek

Fenugreek leaves are useful in diarrhea. A teaspoon of seeds that have been boiled and fried in butter should be taken with a cup of buttermilk twice daily. They are valuable in clearing bile disease. The seeds are also beneficial in the treatment of this disease.

Diarrhea treatment using ginger

In case of diarrhea caused by indigestion, dry or fresh ginger is very useful. A piece of dried ginger powder should be done with a crystal of rock salt and a quarter teaspoon of this powder should be taken with a small piece of brown sugar. It will bring quick relief as ginger, being a carminative, aids digestion by stimulating the gastrointestinal tract.

Treatment of diarrhea using mint

Mint juice is also beneficial in the treatment of diarrhea. A teaspoon of fresh mint juice, mixed with a teaspoon of honey and a juice, can be taken three times daily with excellent results in the treatment of diarrhea.

Treatment of diarrhea using pumpkin

Pumpkin juice is a valuable medicine for excessive thirst due to diarrhea. A glass of juice with a pinch of salt should be taken daily to treat this condition.

Treatment of diarrhea using rice

Rice is useful in the treatment of diarrhea. A teaspoon of rice powder mixed with a glass of milk should be taken in doses of 30 grams every half hour. This will bring excellent results.
