Nara Lokesh Babu, son of former chief minister and Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is aiming to make it big in the media industry and emerge as a potential threat to Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who established Sakshi media empire in the state.
But, Lokesh has not yet come out of the caste leanings. After he bought a major stake in the StudioN channel by investing Rs 40 crore, all Kamma journalists have started approaching him for top posts.
Prominent among them is Kommineni Srinivasa Rao, senior journalist who jumped into the electronic media after his two-decade sting in Eenadu.
Kommineni, known for his caste leanings, jumped from one Kamma channel to another Kamma channel (N-TV to TV5 and back into NTV) and is now all set to take the top slot in StudioN. Everybody knows Kommineni was the most favoured journalist of Naidu during the TDP regime.
Another journo who is going to occupy key position is N Ramachandra Rao, who is also said to be of the same caste. This gentleman, too, was from Eenadu batch and became head of news bureau in NTV. Many other K-journos are making a beeline with StudioN!
