This then is a strong drug which experts say should only be given by a medical professional in what they term a pyramid fashion i.e. a gradual increase in the dosage. A person using it as a weight loss treatment should be aware that they may end up suffering with terrible headaches, shakes and also have insomnia as well.
Furthermore, the fat burning effect only appears for three or four weeks after which the body enters a stagnation period and this is why those who take Clenbuterol to treat obesity make a pause of a month or so before starting another cycle. Although it may be popular, it is rarely promoted by doctors or other dietary specialist as it is considered harmful. The purpose of knowing the side-effects is not just to warn a person away from using this drug but if they are set on using it they can guard against the side-effects.
Treatment for Fat Loss:
Liposuction was the pioneer among targeted fat removal cosmetic surgery procedures. Liposuction is best for individuals who have previously committed to being fit, but have a few stubborn areas where fat persists. Fat removal is done with a hollow tube and suction device. Generally, the amount of fat removed is less than ten pounds, as the surgical risks increase with higher amounts of fat removal.
Liposuction can be done under a general anesthesia, and post-surgery discomfort is mainly from swelling and bruising on treated areas. These side effects generally fade after a few days up to a few months after surgery. Any discomfort is typically controlled by over-the-counter pain medication. Depending on the extent of the liposuction, patients can resume normal activities within several days to several weeks. The final results are most noticeable after one to six months.
Lipodissolve and mesotherapy are two non-surgical methods of targeted fat removal for small volumes of localized fat, especially effective on fatty areas like love handles, backs of arms, thighs, and buttocks. The most common lipodissolve procedure uses micro-fine needles to inject phosphatidylcholine and sodium deoxycholate (PC/DC) directly into fatty tissues. The drugs are used to dissolve fat cells, which are later secreted from the body in urine. Lipodissolve treatment takes five to ten minutes and does not require any anesthetic. Discomfort post-treatment is minimal, with minor swelling being the main side effect.
Many operators of lipodissolve businesses claim their patients are happy with the results and advertise the treatment as an alternative to more invasive procedures. But the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has been clear that, "...these are unapproved drugs for unapproved uses." In fact, there are no well-controlled clinical studies to demonstrate the safety and/or efficacy of PC/DC.
Furthermore, the cosmetic use of lipodissolve has been banned in Brazil and Canada, and warned against in the UK. Recently, Kansas attempted to pass legislation barring its physicians from administering lipodissolve treatments. A Kansas court, however, blocked the legislation from taking effect while the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts solicits public opinion and holds further discussion on the merits and dangers of this currently unapproved therapy.
Mesotherapy is another non-invasive option to improve appearance. In mesotherapy, a blend of conventional medicines, amino acids, vitamins and minerals is injected into the mesoderm (middle layer of skin). Mesotherapy is marketed as a way to improve the appearance of skin above fatty deposits by repairing skin's connective tissue and shrinking fat cells. There are no standard formulas and the technique may vary by physician or individual administering the treatment. Similar to concerns expressed over lipodissolve, medical professionals have raised concern about the lack of data to demonstrate safety and efficacy of mesotherapy.
