There are many Ooty hotels to cater to the requirements of tourists of all budget constraints.</p>
<p>For people who want to experience a totally different kind of atmosphere and like experience a home stay feeling can opt for heritage hotels. The Ooty heritage hotels are not new structures but old buildings converted into hotels. Visitors to Ooty have numerous outdoor activities to experience like boating, trekking, sightseeing, Mudhumalai tiger reserve, take an elephant safari at Thoppakkad, visit a tea factory and watch how tea is processed, and fishing.</p>
<p>Heritage hotels in Ooty include Lymond House, Brookdale Village, British Cliff Club Resort, Hoilday Inn Gem Park, Glyngarth Villa, Welbreck Heritage Inn, Kings Cliff, Sullivan Court, Nahar  Nilgiris, Kluney’s Manor, and many more heritage resorts and home stays provide guests the ambience of living in an old colonial home, something very different from staying in regular hotels. For accommodations which are comfortable and provide a home ambience, Brookdale Village is the right place. The rooms here ooze with comfort and tourists can spend a good night’s rest after a day of hectic excursions around this mountainous town.</p>
<p>Lymond house, located at Sylks Road, is another heritage home stay at Ooty and is close to the Gymkhana Golf Course. This heritage home was originally built by a British officer in 1856 and has three large spacious bedrooms. The décor is colonial with period furniture that’s bound to take you back by at least a hundred years.</p>
<p>The sprawling well maintained gardens spread over two and half acres. This incidentally is one of the oldest homes in Ooty. For those who prefer a place that overlooks the valley, British Cliff Club Resort is the place to be. This resort is perched on a cliff about a kilometer and half from the Race Course. The rooms are equipped with antique beds and other furniture.</p>
<p>The baths however, are modern but on the whole it provides guests with the feeling of living in an old home. These resorts have cooks who will dish up delicious food for guests. At home stays, guests can request for special menus.
