You can also use a leave in conditioner which contains sunscreen, this will help protect your hair against color fade due to sun exposure.
Before swimming in a chlorine treated pool, wash your hair with spring water, this will dilute the harsh chemicals effect. When your hair are wet, don't use a brush. For untangling wet hair, use a hair care product like serum on your hair first and then comb with a wide tooth comb to get rid of tangles.
