Did you know that your skin is the largest organ? Many of us don’t even think of our skin as an organ. Worse still, day after day, is exposed to a variety of toxins and pollutants and do little more than wash it in the shower. Read on to learn how to protect your skin.
The first thing you need to do is drink lots of water. 10 cups per day is a minimum. Since the skin is made up largely of water to drink more water, more hydrated skin will be. Will allow you flush toxins easier and you have younger and healthier looking skin.
You also need to eat at least 4 to 5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day to nourish the skin and keep it healthy. Clear and overall healthy diet is also essential, not only for skin, but for all its organs.
You need to make sure you are receiving the proper vitamins to maintain healthy skin. Vitamin A is essential for healthy skin, if your skin is rough or dry or acne prone to increase their intake of vitamin A. Vitamins B and C are also very important as is the iron and iodine.
Vitamin B1 retains its normal circulation and promotes healthy skin. Vitamin B2 will stop the development of liver spots on the skin and will reduce the oil on your skin. Vitamin B6 will help dermatitis or eczema, niacin and will stop the brown pigmentation spots that appear on the face and arms.
The best way to know that you are receiving enough vitamins and minerals is to take a good multivitamin daily.
Use a mild cleanser on your skin and use an exfoliation on your entire body at least once a week. Exfoliating helps remove the dead dry skin. The top layer of our skin is dead and to help slough outside skin looks more radiant and healthy. Forget look healthy, which is healthy!
You should also moisturize every day. People with oily skin tend to moisture and people with dry skin tend to use much of the wrong moisturizer.
If you have oily skin you need to understand that the moisture is not as moisturizing oil will not cause you to leave unless you use moisturizing oil. If you have dry skin slathering on a lot of moisturizer can help a little, but a technique to use to get the most of your moisturizer does not mater what kind of skin you have.
Your skin needs moisture but when applying lotion that provides the humidity. Instead of trapping moisture lotion or water between the skin moisturizing and so you can nourish the skin. So the best way to maximize its effect is moisturizers to apply it to damp skin. This trap a greater quantity of moisture for your skin to use.
