Human Rights Comission Orders Shifting of Lagadapati To NIMS

The HRC (Human Rights Commission) has directed the Andhra Pradesh government to shift the Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal to NIMS in Hyderabad from the government hospital in Vijayawada. The HRC felt that the Congress MP would receive better treatment if he is in the NIMS hospital rather than the government hospital in Vijayawada.

The case was filed with the HRC by Lawyer Jayashankar. Let he be shifted to NIMS was the demand that Lagadapati has been making since the past few days.

Lagadapati alarmingly lost 5 kgs since the last few days of fast. His blood potassium and sugar levels have altered severely thereby forcing the AP government to shift him to the government hospital in Vijayawada.

However the government is in two minds regarding this as they feel that Lagadapati's presence in Hyderabad would increase the tensions for them more in view of the turmoil that Andhra Pradesh is going through.

I agree with them, for better treatment it's advisable to be shifted to NIMS. If things go wrong way the government has to face many consequences.
