Mercedes-Benz opens largest facility in UAE
Abu Dhabi: The world's largest Mercedes-Benz facility opened in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, underlining the importance of the emirate for the German automaker.
"The largest mixed-use Mercedes-Benz facility in the world will particularly place Abu Dhabi, which recently acquired a 9.1 per cent stake in Daimler AG, on the global map for cutting edge automotive centres," Saeed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, chairman of the Al Fahim Group said. The group's Emirates Motor Company (EMC) is the sole distributor for Mercedes-Benz cars in Abu Dhabi.
Located in Musaffah, the Mercedes-Benz facility includes a 4,382 square metre showroom, a 20,873 square metre service centre with more than 250 work bays
Yesterday, Mercedes-Benz also launched its latest E Class model in Abu Dhabi.
