Nellore, Ongole & Chittoor Zooming Due To Telangana Crisis
While the Telangana statehood issue hangs in in the court of the Congress High Command, it is the turn of the realtors in Andhra Pradesh to have the field day. While the real estate in the whole Telangana region have fallen drastically, the real estate in the Andhra and the Rayalaseema region is rising drastically.
What is more surprising is that while the real estate prices rose by only 15 to 30% in the big cities like Vizag, Vijayawada, Kurnool, Tirupathi etc the real estate in the smaller cities like Ongole, Nellore and Chittoor almost increased by 100%.
The reason is not hard to guess. If Andhra and the Rayalaseema are to stick together, then a common capital which is amicable to the people of both Andhra and the Rayalaseema regions has be selected. Nellore, Ongole and Chittoor are such towns that has common culture and people from both Andhra and the Rayalaseema. And also the government has huge tracks of land in the outskirts of these towns.
Now a brisk business is going on in these towns and atleast the Telangana crisis has brought cheer to the people and realtors in these small towns.

In case of Nellore it is part of Costal andhra which was ruled by Sri Krishna Deva rayulu. Even now it is merged with Rayalaseema as part of educational division. It may be the city which is amikable for both Costal andhra and Rayalaseema politicians.
