The world, Most surprisingly did not ended on Wenesday,as it was predicted. While we await for 21st Decamber 2012,here's a look at some of the other doomsday predictions which went astray:

April 9,2004

Hopchenk: an ortodox Christian, had prophesosed that by God's "WISH AND COMPASION" an asteroid whould hit Los Angeles, which he descibed as the " center of propaganda of bedauch, lechert and violence." The asteroid collision was to have exterminated all life because God wanted Hollywood to stop creating immoral andporographic flims.

May 5, 2000

All the planets were aligned in one line on the day and that was supposed to cause earthquake, volcanic eruptions and other such catastrophic calamities . A similar phenomenon had occured in 1982 but we're still around.

February 26 1998

Famous psychic Edgar Casey predicted that the earth would have a new pole which produce great amount of energy and cause masive disruption to the oceans.It was alxo supposed to rip open the earth's crust.

A Korean Group called for Mission for the Coming Days foresawthis day as the time for rapture. everal camera shots left ghostly images on pictures were thought to be a supernatural comfirmation of the date.

April 23,1990 Mother Shipton: a 16th century mystic perdicted "The world to an end shall come; in nineteen hunderd and nintyone."

April 23,1990 Elizabeth Clare Prophet,leader of Church Universal andriumphant, mande a series of statments that many members belived indicated the start of the nuclear war on this paticular date.Atleast 2,000 followers travelled to Monatana to take refuge in CUT's fallout shelters.

1998 Edgar Whisenaut, a NASA scientist, published a Book called "88 reasons why the Rapture will occur in 1988".The World didn't end ut his book sold over four million copies.
