<p>An ERP system brings about a major change in the business process after it has been implemented and it is therefore essential to manage this change well to realize the ROI. One of the common problems faced with the ERP implementation is the resistance from the employees.</p>
<p>Many people oppose to use the new system and are not willing to learn the functions readily. Also ERP may result in cutting down of jobs by increasing the productivity of lesser number of people which brings about resistance from the employees. Successful ERP Change management involves managing the employees in a proper manner.</p>
<p>With the implementation of an ERP, there is a change in the way things function and the employees will be required to work in a transparent environment and interact with the people from the other departments. They should learn how to work in a team together by enhancing the relationship with the other team members. ERP system leads to an integrated working environment. This might lead to a change in the attitude of the employees and so proper management is required.</p>
<p>For a successful ERP change management, the top management may need to employ coordinators to help the employees adapt to the new system quickly. To realize the ROI, the adaptation should be done soon and the communication process should be more effective. Seminars and meetings should be conducted to get the employees familiar with the new system and the new working environment. To make a successful change management, the management should give this transition period enough time for the employees to adapt to the change.</p>
<p>A successful ERP change management is essentially to do with people management as the employees need to be educated on the objectives of the implementation of the ERP system. This subject needs to be approached in a proper manner for proper results. To obtain the benefits of the ERP system and avoid failure of the system, the use of a successful ERP change management is necessary. If the strategy and technique is right, the success rate will be higher. Organizational strategies include change management, communication, staff management and others.</p>

The change management is a strategy to invite the changes in the company to maximize the benefits and reduce the risks of the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning system. Apart from proper communication and coordination, training and education of the staff is also essential.
