The use of contact lenses have increased at such a large extent that most people nowadays want to get their own pair of lenses instead of the large and thick-glassed spectacles. Soft contact lenses can be categorised into two types: daily and extended wear. Both are made in a similar manner that combines a thin, supple material and water.
It was not only difficult at your pocket but also the use of these lenses was very difficult, as they were hard and uncomfortable. Not everyone was able to purchase it and use it properly. Proper cleaning is requirement for any card-carrying contact wearer. Contact lens cleaning removes optical buildup that may accumulate as a result of a lens taking residence in the eye. Cosmetics can also cause a filmy buildup on contacts.
Tap water contains chlorine, minerals and metal particles, which can damage both the lenses and the eye. Among other things, water contains organisms, which can lead to serious infections of the eye through microbial contamination. When it comes to contacts lens, there can be a number of problems any wearer can run across including discomfort, pain, redness, watering or changes in vision.
Daily wear rigid gas permeable lenses- these contact lenses are made of plastic that are not as soft or as absorbent as soft contact lenses but they allow oxygen to pass through them. They don't tear as easily as soft lenses do but they can take a few weeks to get used to.
This is not necessary in the case of daily wearing contact lenses, because after you worn them one day, you throw them and there is no need for you to clean their cases. Contact lens is still developing; it has not yet covered all the visionary problems that human beings face. As for the eye glasses, since they were discovered earlier than the lenses, they cover all types of eye problems. The soft contact lens is made of a plastic polymer substance that also includes water.
This allows oxygen to go through the contact, which makes it much more comfortable to wear. These are often the type of contact that can be worn for one day and then thrown away. Companies also offer disposable contacts the can be used for a week, and up to a month, before being thrown away. This type of disposable contact lens costs less than daily-use types and generally is just as healthy for the eyes.
Custom lenses are the other type of non prescription contact lens. Its design has different patterns which are specialized for various purposes. There are lots of design available in the market right not. Vial contact lenses are basically rigid gas permeable lens that are designed to be worn for up to a year. Vial lenses must be removed, cleaned and sterilized on a nightly basis. If contact lenses are used for medical purposes before, its use took a drastic turn when cosmetic contact lenses are introduced. These types of contact lens are especially designed to radically change the color, style, and even the design of the eyes.
