Everyone wants to love and feel loved in return. But being in a relationship with someone is not always enough. Very often romantic love fizzles out over a period of time; even though both partners are committed to each other. After a while the 'I love you', gets monotonous so you need to find other ways of expressing your love to your partner.
Some of us instinctively know our own love language and that of our partners, but other times it's hard to figure the best way to show your love. Think about what makes you feel most loved by your partner and what you desire more than anything else. Do you like it when your partner compliments you often?
Do you feel special when he/she goes out of his/her way to do something for you? For some lovers just getting some alone time with their partners is more valuable than being showered with gifts. Words of affirmation are more than just compliments - they are ways of expressing your thanks and sincerity to your partner. Sometimes despite being in a very happy relationship partners need a little reminder to know how much the other person cares. If you are the one in need of some affirmation, tell your partner that it makes you feel more secure knowing that he/she loves you. Compliments are always appreciated, so next time your lover does something for you reward him/her with some sweet words.
Quality time
If you often find your partner complaining that you don't spend enough time with him/her, maybe it is quality time that you'll need. During this time you should give each other your undivided attention. Spending time together doesn't mean watching TV or merely being in the same room. Small mementos
Everyone loves receiving gifts and it's a great way to show your love. The gift doesn't have to be something very fancy or expensive. It's meant to be a symbol of your thoughts for that person and hence is very precious. Try to find out what gifts your partner will like. You don't need to wait for a special occasion - almost any gift you give him/her will be considered important and valuable.
Doing favors
While doing favors such as fixing the geyser or cleaning up the house may not be considered typically romantic to some people they are a major sign of love because they require planning, time and effort. In the first few weeks of a relationship it's almost a joy to do small chores for each other, but after a while they can become annoying. If you do want to show your love through small acts make sure they are not too often so that your partner doesn't expect you to do everything for him/her all the time. :yes:
Keep in touch
You can convey your love to your partner by calling when he/she is at work or leaving notes or smses for him/her during the day ) . Let your lover know when you are thinking of him/her and how much you miss spending time together.
Warm touch
Physical touch is one of the most powerful ways of communicating love and affection. Some partners like to be affectionate most of the time and others only show physical warmth in the privacy of their bedroom. Make sure you are in sync with what your partner likes. You don't want to end up embarrassing him/her in public.
A gentle touch either by holding hands or an arm around the waist can go a long way in expressing your love. Most partners feel more secure and content with a little physical touch. So don't feel shy and let your hands do the talking
