Bollywood's biggest superstar, Shah Rukh Khan sent the paparazzi into a tizzy when he met Tennis champion Sania Mirza at a function this week. Both Shah Rukh and Sania endorse biscuit giant Sunfeast and the two got together to unveil an oil painting by artist Wasim Kapoor, which will be presented to the winner of the Sunfeast Open. The painting is a colourful mosaic on India's heritage.
Shah Rukh looked lean and mean in a dapper D&G T-shirt and blue jeans, while Sania seems to have gone for an image makeover of sorts. The tennis star was sporting a brand new hair cut and wore a pink polka-dotted dress.
Though Sania Mirza's participation in the Sunfeast Open is still uncertain because she has had no training after the US Open, the star said that she could take a decision at the last minute.
Shah Rukh, who recently played the coach of a women's hockey team in the much acclaimed Chak De India spoke at length about the role of women in sport, touching upon the importance of events like the Sunfeast Open as a platform for Indian girls to emulate Sania’s example by seizing the opportunity to compete with WTA players.
